Healthy Homes

We are working with First Contact Clinical to give you access to the healthy homes scheme. A healthy home is important for our physical, mental and social wellbeing. Cold, damp homes cause ill health, lost school days and early deaths. Low household income, poor heating or insulation and high energy costs contribute to fuel poverty.

There are older, colder homes in South Tyneside and more long term, life limiting conditions, which are made worse by the home people live in. This scheme aims to support people facing these issues.

Who is eligible:

• People living in the post code NE31, NE32, NE33 1/2/5/9 or NE34 8/9.
• A low household income. This can be from annual earnings of under £31,500 or are on benefits.
• Over 65 or live with someone under the age of 5, OR any ages with a long-term health condition.
